Special Production. The Canadian Shadow Players are a group of Vancouver Pataphysicians who specialize in the esoteric study of umbrology. This video is the translation of their explorations – deep into the shadows of civilization. God and the Devil discuss the manachean play of light and dark; Doctor Faustrol encounters the Snoutfigs; the Vogue lady falls in love with Monsieur Michaud, inventor of the safety bicycle. The songs of the shadow world are sung in Latin, English and Pygmy Adlib, a polyglot lingua franca that renders the text understandable in many tongues.
