Record launch and west coast debut of a new Montreal label, Empreintes Digitales, under the direction of Jean-François Denis and Claude Schryer. A concert featuring performances by Lori Freedman, Kathy Lewis, Pauline Vaillancourt, and the composers, of works by Daniel Scheidt, Alain Thibaut, Robert Normandeau and Christian Calon.
The concert on February 22 featured Jacques Drouin performing a piano composition by Alain Thibaut, percussionist Trevor Tureski in Scheidt’s Obeying the Laws of Physics and Claude Schryer in a new work for clarinet and electronics.
The concert on February 23 featured Martin Gotfrit, Jean-Francois Denis, Hildegard Westerkamp, Daniel Scheidt on computers, Claude Schryer on clarinet and bass clarinet, Alain Thibault and Jacques Drouin on MIDI piano and Robert Normandeau and Trevor Tureski on percussion.
