One of the strongest voices in Canadian contemporary music, Tim Brady, celebrate the release of his fifth CD Scenarios (Justin Time Records). This Montréal guitarist/composer has had an extensive career as a soloist and writer for orchestra, chamber ensembles, dance and music theatre ranging from minimalism to jazz and electroacoustic compositions. In 1989 he formed Bradyworks featuring himself on electric guitar with: soprano Nathalie Paulin, percussionist Marie-Josée Simard, Louise-Andre Baril on piano, cellist Gordon Cleland, and saxophonist André Leroux. The ensemble has concertised for CBC and Radio-Canada, at Victoriaville and a successful 12-city North American tour in 1991. Brady and his works will perform solo compositions from his new CD Scenarios, a duo for saxophone and vibraphone, and the premier of a large-scale chamber work, Revolutionary Songs; exploring the revolutionary experience as seen by poets and writers over the past two hundred years.
