For the last year, the artists had been travelling in Japan, Southeast Asia, India, Africa and Europe; their objective was to meet other artists and to explore the possibilities and problems of cross-cultural communication. They performed with shadow puppets, live and taped music and slides, using a portable shadow theatre framed with textiles from different countries.
